    What kind of computer do I need for this system?

    You must have a fully IBM compatible personal computer running under Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, ME or XP. Minimum memory required is 64 Meg of RAM. The programs require a minimum of 20 megabytes of free disk space. How much disk space you need will be a function of the size of your salon, and the length of time you wish to keep client history.

    When I try to download your demo software it dumps to the screen.

    You need to configure your Helper Application preferences so that your browser knows what you want to do with a given file type.

    Click OPTIONS|GENERAL PREFERENCES|HELPERS and locate the extension listing for .exe. Highlight this line and select "Save to Disk" as the associated action. This tells Netscape that when you start a download of an .exe file it should save it to your hard drive rather than treat it as an image or web page.

    The program has a lot of features. Do any of them cost extra?

    No. The software is sold complete as shown, and there are no extra modules to be purchased.

    After the 60 day free support,what does it cost to continue support?

    You can purchase annual support for $125. Otherwise, support is $20 per incident after the first 60 days free support. You will be asked for credit card information for each support incident.  If more than one call is required to solve an incident, it will be covered by the initial charge.

    Are there any limitations to the number of employees this program will support?

    There is no restriction on the number of employees who can be supported by this program.

    I don't want everybody in the salon knowing my business. Is there a way I can keep them out of certain files?

    Yes. There are three levels of security which allow you to password protect any areas you wish to secure.

    How may clients will this program hold before I have to purge?

    You can store as many customers and as much history as you wish subject only to the size of your hard drive. Purge programs allow you to remove old data when you want to.

    We have frequent power interruptions in our building. If we loose power, do we loose all of today's work?

    No. As soon as you create a record it becomes part of the permanent file. The most that could happen is that you might have to re-enter the form you were working on when the power went down.

    I have a small shop, and I want to use my computer for other things. Will I be able to run other programs on my computer?

    Yes. The ACCS Salon Management System runs on standard Windows 95/98 operating systems. Subject to the size of your hard drive, you can run any other programs you wish.
